The Pro Bono Program at Suffolk University Law School cordially invites you to attend the Annual Pro Bono Award Ceremony & Reception to honor pro bono achievements in the community and the public service work of Suffolk Law students.
 

This year we are pleased to present our Public Service Award to Justice Ralph D. Gants of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

As Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission and through his leadership on the SJC’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services, Justice Gants continues to work tirelessly to, among other things, increase recognition of pro bono attorneys, encourage pro bono service among groups of attorneys not traditionally involved in such work, and promote pro bono service amongst bar leaders, law schools, and courts. Justice Gants has also been instrumental in increasing administrative justice in state agencies, engaging stakeholders in important discussions about the structure of legal services programs, improving technology on poverty law, and developing information centers in the trial courts.
 

This year we will also honor Alice Keh, JD ‘12, with the Pro Bono Program Student Award. Passionate about minority and victim rights, Alice has completed over 200 hours of pro bono work at the Domestic Violence Institute at Boston Medical Center, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders, the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, and the ACLU/Suffolk Law Police Complaint Assistance Project. We are proud to honor Alice’s dedication to public interest.
